It takes a variety of preparations to climb a mountain, such as physical preparation and equipment. But more importantly is the preparation of beliefs. That is what 6 teachers of the library Dream village who performed the ascent of Mount Seulawah Agam.
Since Friday (21/9), the teachers dream; Mention to volunteer teachers of Pustaka Kampung Impian program, starting the climb on a mountain that is 1,800 mdpl altitude. They are also accompanied by the team of the Youth Volunteer House (3R). This ascent is a physical orientation before placing them into remote villages.
On the first day, because the location of the camping is not far from the jungle door, there are no meaningful obstacles encountered. The first day passes by enjoying the evening with a beautiful view of the moon and the chill of a night that is quite cold. On the second day (22/9), the day where the climb to the summit began. After moving on the selected camping site, which is near the embankment, at 08.00, everything starts to move with the rocky slope that goes through. This trip should be traveled longer than usual, because the team had to adjust to the steps of several people who were the first time climbing the mountain. This is not a problem because a climb is not a race to reach the summit. The rain is also a complement to the delay of the steps. Finally around 21.30, teams arrived at the summit safely. Despite the rain, they still carry out their duties, such as setting up tents and carrying out cooking pickets. Day three (23/9), the rain still faithfully accompany. Finally the team decided to start moving down at 13.30. The road condition is slippery, making it all can get back at the jungle door around 22.00. Some of the faces seemed tired, but many lessons were gained.
"It was my first time climbing. I get a lot of valuable experience, "said Icut, a dream teacher who is a hobby of reading poetry. Profound impression is also presented by Mila, an experienced teacher of dreams that handles hyperactive children. "The team in 3R is very strengthening me. I do not know what if I walk with another team. They were very patient and kept encouraging me the first time to climb the mountain. This mutual became one of the evidence of fraternity without blood ties, "he said in a moved.
The brief statements of this Dream Master 2 become a testament to the importance of climbing as a series for physical orientation that is routinely implemented by 3R. This physical orientation does not merely train the physical volunteers, especially the dream teachers who will be placed in remote villages with different types of landscapes, but to train their soft-skills and hard-skills for example teamwork, self-control , the belief to be able to accomplish what is desirable and others.
Various experiences are gained by the teachers of the library Kampung Impian in the Seulawah Agam mountain that they pour in various stories from the ascent and from the posts on their social media. Those impressive stories hopefully give a good life lesson to be applied in everyday life.
